Meet Lacey

Your San Antonio Birth Doula

A family of four standing outdoors in a wooded area during sunset, smiling and hugging each other. The father is wearing a cowboy hat and a vest, the mother is in a denim jacket and floral skirt, the daughter is wearing a white sunhat and pink dress, and the son is wearing a plaid shirt. A white chicken is on the ground nearby.

Hey y’all, I’m Lacey.

Wife to Tim for almost 20 years and mama to Wyatt and Chloe. We moved to Bulverde/Spring Branch back in 2019 and love being just outside San Antonio.

My home is not always tidy, as I’d much rather be in the kitchen cooking meals or baking for friends and family. We have three dogs I’m crazy about — and far too many free-ranging chickens, because I just can’t resist baby chicks in the spring!

I’m a good listener and truly believe everyone has a story worth telling. Life is a beautiful, messy journey, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love Jesus, and my faith shapes the way I show up—with compassion, peace, and a deep respect for the sacredness of birth.

That’s also what drew me to doula work — the privilege of walking alongside families in San Antonio and the surrounding areas during one of the most transformative, sacred seasons of their lives. As your birth doula, I’m here to support, encourage, and help you step into your birth story with confidence, faith, and peace.

I provide faith-filled, compassionate birth and postpartum doula support for families in San Antonio, Bulverde, Spring Branch, and nearby communities — whether you’re planning a hospital, home, or birth center birth.

My Doula Training and education

When I felt called to become a birth doula, I chose to train under the guidance of a local mentor from New Braunfels whose faith and philosophy aligned with mine. Emily Stanwyck has been an invaluable partner in this journey, and I’m so thankful for her wisdom, support, and encouragement as I’ve stepped into this work.

I’ve also completed a Spinning Babies® workshop, which gave me hands-on techniques to help mothers have more comfortable, aligned births. These evidence-based tools help balance the body, encourage optimal fetal positioning, and can make labor smoother and more effective.

Continuing to grow as a doula is something I truly value. I’m committed to ongoing education and staying informed about the latest evidence-based practices so I can better support San Antonio families with care that meets their unique needs during this sacred season.

Heritage Oak Doula

At Heritage Oak Doula, I understand that the decision to hire a doula is a personal one. While it's true that not everyone needs a doula, my role goes beyond just physical support during labor and birth.

Doulas offer emotional support, evidence-based information, advocacy, and a continuous presence throughout the childbirth experience. I aim to empower families to make informed decisions, which includes your right to informed consent as well as informed refusal and to feel confident in your choices during this transformative time.

Whether you choose to have a doula by your side or not, my goal remains the same— to support families in having a positive and empowering birth experience, tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

I believe

I did not have a doula for either of my births. I had 2 unmedicated hospital births, that I’m really happy with. I truly believe women do NOT need a doula. I believe God has given women everything they need to carry, labor and birth their babies. As your doula I am there to remind you that you were created for this.

my hope

Is that the women I serve leave their fears and anxiety behind. That each woman, no matter where she decides to give birth, feels 100% safe and confident. As each decisions arises you know your options and are prepared to choose what is best for you and your baby.
